L67 Throttle Body
The Donor Piece

As I mentioned, I got a donor L67 throttle body from a 1997 Buick Park Avenue Ultra.   Since my intent to use this is for a '04 Monte Carlo, a couple of items to keep in mind:
   1. - My MAF sensor will bolt up, but the MAF opening needs ported/widened a bit to accomodate this.
   2. - This has the MAF bridge, easier to remove then the MAF Hump (if I got one with the hump, I woould have just left it alone).

The below pictures were taken the day I brought it home.

Before I began, I spent a lot of time with carb cleaner and some cleaning brushes to get the old gasket and gunk off of it.   Your surfaces should really be clean before you begin so you don't get that gunk on everything and since using JB Weld is involved, you really want good clean surfaces for that to bond to.

As part of the clean up, I removed the various sensors that came with it, the throttle linkage assembly and the butterfly plate.   I found having a coffee can was a good thing to store those in.   Even though I don't plan to use the MAF screen, I gently removed it as well and found an old butter tub was a good fit for it and it's retaining clip.
